The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided by Ing. Julio Cárdenas, through the Directorate of Sustainability, successfully carried out the 2025 Recyclathon at the Santa Cruz Huatulco Sports Unit, promoting the proper disposal of electronic and household waste.
The Secretariat of Environment, Biodiversity, Energy and Sustainability of the State of Oaxaca (SEMABIESO), the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas (CONANP) – Huatulco National Park, the State Forestry Commission (COESFO) and municipal authorities actively participated in this environmental day, providing guidance to citizens on the importance of environmental care and reforestation.
As part of this initiative, participants were able to exchange their waste for endemic trees, strengthening the community's commitment to the natural environment.
