The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, headed by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the Directorate of the Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone (ZOFEMAT) and in coordination with waiters, snorkelers, oyster farmers, street vendors, and nautical service providers, carried out cleanup efforts in Maguey Bay, working with a commitment to environmental preservation and beach care.
This action aimed to foster environmental awareness and promote citizen participation in the care of the natural environment. Through the collection and proper disposal of waste, the goal is to prevent marine pollution and protect coastal ecosystems.
