The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the ZOFEMAT Directorate, carried out the monthly water sampling at Chahué, Santa Cruz, and Pescadores beaches, all with Blue Flag certification.
This procedure aims to guarantee water quality, protecting the health of those who enjoy our beaches and contributing to the conservation of the marine and coastal environment.
Among the objectives of the sampling are:
- Evaluating if the water is suitable for recreational activities
- Detecting possible microbiological and chemical contaminants
- Verifying compliance with national and international standards
These actions reaffirm the Municipal Government's commitment to sustainable, safe, and responsible tourism, maintaining Huatulco as a national and international benchmark for environmental excellence.
