United for the Conservation of Our Mangroves

The Municipal Government and the Subcouncil of Culture for Huatulco Park Conservation held a forum and cleanup at Playa La Entrega to conserve mangroves.

As part of the commemoration of the International Day for the Defense of the Mangrove Ecosystem, the Municipal Government and the Subcouncil of Culture for the Conservation of Huatulco Park, held an awareness forum and a cleanup day at Playa La Entrega. These actions were aimed at strengthening environmental awareness, promoting community participation, and contributing to the conservation of Huatulco's mangroves.
CONANP, COSTASALVAJE A.C., and Cooperativa Ventanilla led the forum on the ecological importance of mangroves and best practices for their conservation. Subsequently, the cleanup day took place with the participation of the ZOFEMAT Directorate, Sustainability Directorate, Huatulco National Park, El Tortuguero Huatulco, COSTASALVAJE A.C., community park rangers, tourism service providers, street vendors, and citizens, successfully collecting 123 kilograms of solid waste.
The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting coordinated actions to preserve the natural wealth that distinguishes our municipality.
