The Municipal Government, led by Engineer Julio Cárdenas Ortega, through the Directorate of Urban Development and in coordination with the Municipal Agency of Santa Cruz Huatulco, initiated paving work using hydraulic concrete pouring on the main street leading to the upper part of Colonia Pescadores.

These works are strengthened by the tequio (communal work) and the active participation of residents, who contributed labor and community organization to restore this road, which was affected after Hurricane Erick, especially at the point known as “La Y,” where the concrete collapsed, complicating access.

For its part, the Municipal Government provided support with cement, welded wire mesh, and machinery, achieving the pouring of approximately 100 meters today. Likewise, the construction of cyclopean walls began at the back, and next Sunday, work will continue until this area is completed, in addition to the drainage channels, including gutters and water outlets.

Government and citizens working together for safer streets and better access for families.
