Joining Firmly in Caring for the Environment!
The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco joins the National Campaign for the Cleaning and Conservation of Beaches and Coasts of Mexico.
In observance of World Environment Day, the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco initiated activities with a day of action and environmental commitment, joining the National Campaign for the Cleaning and Conservation of Beaches and Coasts of Mexico 2025–2030.
A historic cleanup was carried out at Playa Coyote, located in the community of San Agustín, belonging to the municipal agency of Bajos del Arenal, led by the municipal president, Ing. Julio Cárdenas, council members, as well as Ing. Noel Enrique Jarquín Mendoza, head of the Unit of Ecosystems and Coastal Environments of SEMARNAT in Oaxaca.
This day represents an unprecedented event, being the first cleanup of its kind on this beach, and also the first official activity of the campaign throughout the state of Oaxaca.
The Municipal Government especially appreciates the work and coordination of the ZOFEMAT team, whose constant work strengthens the commitment to a cleaner, more conscious, and sustainable Huatulco.
Taking care of our beaches is also building history!
