No damages or affectations reported in Huatulco after a magnitude 5.0 earthquake north of Crucecita, Oaxaca. Verification protocols activated.
Following the preliminary magnitude 5.0 earthquake registered this afternoon, with an epicenter 54 km north of Crucecita, Oaxaca, the movement was perceptible in some areas of the municipality; however, no damages or affectations have been reported so far.
The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the Directorate of Civil Protection and Firefighters, maintains permanent monitoring and activated the corresponding verification protocols. As part of these actions, a tour was conducted at the hospital, where everything was reported without incident.
