The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, through the Directorate of Sustainability, carried out a Reforestation Day in El Granadillo, Hacienda Vieja, within the framework of National Tree Day.
During this activity, nearly 1,500 trees of species such as Mahogany, Cedar, and Macuil Mareño were planted, covering one hectare. This action reaffirms the commitment to strengthen ecosystems and generate a positive environmental impact that transcends generations.
Furthermore, it was announced that this effort will be permanent, so citizens can approach the Sustainability office to request a free tree and join this initiative for a greener Huatulco.
The Municipal Government will continue to promote activities that foster environmental culture and citizen participation.
