The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, led by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the Directorate of Sustainability and with the participation of the Directorate of Tourism, Directorate of ZOFEMAT, Directorate of Municipal Planning, and Directorate of Housing, participated in training sessions provided by ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, with the aim of strengthening planning and coordination on environmental issues.
These sessions allowed progress in tools such as PACMUN, POEL, and the Comprehensive Urban Solid Waste Management Plan, which are fundamental for addressing the municipality's environmental challenges.
