In an event held at the Municipal Palace, the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco officially presented Yesenia Ortiz Chávez as Municipal Centéotl Goddess 2026, with the presence of members of the Honorable Council. Representing the Municipal President, Eng. Julio Cárdenas, Lic. Reyna Felipa Ríos Cruz, Councilor for Social Development, attended, reaffirming the administration's commitment to the preservation and promotion of traditions that strengthen the identity of our municipality.
The ceremony also included the participation of the Community Cultural Commission of Santa María Huatulco, headed by Prof. Marcelo Gonzáles Ortega, as well as the presence of Petra Mijangos Argüelles, who during 2025 represented our municipality with dignity, commitment, and love as Municipal Centéotl Goddess, continuing this important tradition.
Originally from the Municipal Agency of Bajos de Coyula, Yesenia Ortiz Chávez will represent Santa María Huatulco in the state stage of the Centéotl Goddess 2026, proudly showcasing the cultural richness, customs, and pride of our communities.
The Municipal Government wishes her the greatest success in this important endeavor, with the certainty that she will worthily represent Huatulco.
