The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, headed by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the Directorate of the Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone, carried out a cleanup day at Santa Cruz Beach, with the aim of reducing the presence of waste, protecting the marine ecosystem, and maintaining this space in optimal conditions for visitors and service providers.
During this activity, 20 kg of waste (7 kg organic and 13 kg inorganic) were collected, thanks to the coordinated work between ZOFEMAT, restaurateurs, oyster farmers, nautical service providers, and street vendors, strengthening permanent cleanup actions and the care of the coastal environment for the benefit of everyone.
