Following the 5.7 magnitude earthquake registered this afternoon with an epicenter in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco reports that, at 3:45 PM, elements of Municipal Civil Protection and Municipal Public Security, through the Santa Cruz Command, conducted preventive patrols in Santa María Huatulco and Santa Cruz Huatulco, covering residential areas, banking areas, the hotel zone, and shopping centers, with the objective of verifying that everything remained in order.
After the corresponding supervision, no damages or incidents were reported, and the reviewed areas remained without incident. Permanent monitoring continues to safeguard the integrity of the population.
