As part of the Contact Water Project “Monitoring of Seawater for Recreational Use with Primary Contact” and the 4th National Week Against Sanitary Risks 2026, the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, through the ZOFEMAT Directorate, carried out cleanup and sanitation days at Santa Cruz Beach and Pescadores Beach.
During these actions, manual waste collection and sand screening were carried out, successfully collecting 46 kilograms of solid waste, contributing to strengthening sanitary conditions, the conservation of coastal ecosystems, and the maintenance of clean and safe beaches for residents and visitors.
