The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, through the Directorate of Tourism, welcomed the delegation from the state of Puebla as part of the "Puebla has a beach – Come to Huatulco" promotional tour, a strategy that strengthens air connectivity between both destinations and promotes new opportunities for the tourism sector.
During this event, the destination "Puebla, The Heartbeat of Mexico" was presented, with the participation of authorities, tour operators, travel agencies, DMCs, and business chambers. The delegation was led by the Undersecretary of Tourism Promotion for the State of Puebla, José Miguel Vélez R. Moreno; the Director of Tourism Promotion and Public Relations, Juan Carlos Rincón Luis; and the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism of Puebla (CANACO), Héctor F. Landero Camacho.
As part of their visit, the representatives from Puebla experienced Huatulco firsthand, touring some of the destination's main attractions, enjoying the Bays of Huatulco, its natural landscapes, the rich gastronomy, and the emblematic products that distinguish Oaxaca's identity and tradition, thus strengthening knowledge and promotion of the destination.
The municipal president, Eng. Julio Cárdenas, welcomed the delegation and reiterated the commitment to continue strengthening joint work with the Government of the State of Puebla and the tourism sector to consolidate the promotion of both destinations, increase visitor flow, and generate greater economic benefits for the families of Huatulco and Puebla.
Furthermore, as part of this tour, working groups were held with business chambers and tourism associations to define a joint tourism promotion agenda for 2026–2027, reaffirming a strategic alliance that continues to yield results.
