Huatulco Civil Protection and Firefighters extinguished a vehicle fire on Federal Highway 200. A furniture truck caught fire; the driver was unharmed.

Last night, the Directorate of Civil Protection and Firefighters of the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco responded to a vehicle fire on the Coyula bridge, on Federal Highway #200.

Upon receiving the report around 8:43 PM, emergency units immediately moved to the location, finding a truck transporting furniture engulfed in flames. The fire was completely controlled and extinguished using water from the tanker truck and fire extinguishers.

The vehicle's driver, identified as Juan A., 65 years old and originally from San Pedro Pochutla, was unharmed. During the incident's management, support was provided by the National Guard Road Division and the Municipal Traffic Police, who secured the area to ensure safety.

Thanks to the rapid response and inter-institutional coordination, the service was concluded without major consequences.
