Huatulco Civil Protection and Fire Department personnel responded to a citizen report about a white-tailed deer being sheltered at a home in the community of Hacienda Vieja. The animal was taken to the Huellitas Veterinary Clinic, where veterinarian Alexis Avendaño examined it and treated its superficial wounds. After receiving veterinary care, the deer was released into its natural habitat. The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, headed by Engineer Julio Cárdenas, reaffirms its commitment to protecting and conserving wildlife through timely response and coordinated efforts.
