Promoting cultural identity through community art

The Cultural Caravan promotes artistic expression and strengthens local traditions in Santa María Huatulco.

The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, in coordination with the Directorate of Culture, carried out a new edition of the Cultural Caravan, a space that promotes artistic expression and the strengthening of local traditions.

As part of this day, a demonstration of the artistic workshops of the House of Culture of Santa María Huatulco was held, as well as the community guitar and dance workshops in Aguaje El Zapote, and folk dance in Bajos del Arenal. Students presented a program full of music, dance, poetry and song, a living reflection of our cultural wealth.

Art represents traditions, customs and narratives that strengthen the sense of belonging and allow us to preserve the cultural heritage of our peoples. Through these spaces, the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco reaffirms its commitment to cultural promotion and the active participation of communities.
