Coordinated operation between federal, state, and municipal governments
Last Sunday, a deterrence operation was carried out in areas where irregular land occupations have been identified, within the territory comprising the Integrally Planned Center of Huatulco.
These coordinated actions aim to prevent illegal acts, preserve order, and ensure compliance with the law, thereby protecting Huatulco's orderly urban development and natural heritage.
From the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, we recognize and appreciate the determination and willingness of the state and federal government corporations that led this important operation: Secretariat of the Navy, Mexican Army, National Guard, State Police, and Municipal Police.
We especially highlight the commitment and effort of the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas (CONANP) and the National Institute of Sustainable Land (INSUS) for safeguarding the territory under their protection. The municipal directorates of Housing, Sustainability, and Planning actively participated in this joint action, working firmly to address this issue.
During the patrol, individuals in the various areas were clearly and directly informed that these are federal properties that cannot be occupied without a legal document supporting such possession. Furthermore, the content of an inter-institutional statement expressing the stance of the three levels of government regarding this delicate situation was disseminated.
We urge citizens not to be deceived by those who promote irregular settlements. In Huatulco, legality and the protection of our environment are fundamental principles that must be respected.
