The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the Municipal Youth Institute (IMJUVE), carried out the “President for a Day” exercise, where the winner, Lic. Humberto M. Avendaño Cervantes, had a great experience by having the opportunity to be the Municipal President of Santa María Huatulco for one day.
From early morning, he participated in the 2025 National Beach Cleanup Day, as well as a tour of all participating bays.
Later, accompanied by the municipal agent of Santa Cruz, he visited different areas of the agency to learn firsthand about the work carried out by the collaborators.
He also had the opportunity to tour the Municipal Palace and the DIF facilities, where Lic. Jazmin Villar, honorary president of DIF Huatulco, shared the various actions and programs carried out for the benefit of Huatulco families.
The hospitality of the council members and directors, who kindly received him in their offices, is appreciated.
These activities seek to engage and awaken in Huatulco's youth an interest in participating responsibly in the future of Huatulco.
