For the Health of All: Junk Removal Day Begins

Junk removal day starts in Santa Cruz Huatulco to prevent diseases like dengue, zika, and chikungunya. Citizen participation is key.

With the aim of preventing vector-borne diseases such as dengue, zika, and chikungunya, the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided by Ing. Julio Cárdenas, through the Health Department and the Municipal Agency of Santa Cruz Huatulco, in coordination with the Oaxaca Health Services, kicked off the junk removal day in the Santa Cruz Huatulco area.

This strategy started in sectors H3, H2, and H, where streets and homes were visited to collect unusable objects that could become breeding grounds for the transmitting mosquito. Over the next few days, this activity will continue in more areas of the agency, promoting citizen participation as a key element to achieve a cleaner and healthier environment.
