Santa Cruz, Pescadores and Chahué beaches were included in the control visit for the 2026 Blue Flag Audit, a process that directly verifies the conditions maintained at these sites and assesses compliance with the criteria established by the program.
The review included a physical inspection, documentary evaluation and operational verification, considering aspects such as water quality, environmental management, safety, services, infrastructure, information and environmental education. The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, led by Engineer Julio Cárdenas, continues to monitor these processes to strengthen the care, conservation and responsible management of the municipality’s beaches.
