As part of the requirements for Blue Flag certifications, the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, led by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the ZOFEMAT Directorate, carried out the monthly beach profile in the certified beaches of Santa Cruz, Pescadores, Chahué, Órgano, La Entrega, and Violín.
The beach profile consists of an analysis that considers factors such as land disposition, sediment composition, as well as wave and current dynamics. Since these conditions constantly change due to natural and human causes, their continuous monitoring is key for adequate coastal management.
With these actions, the Municipal Government reaffirms its commitment to the conservation of the coastal environment, the continuous improvement of quality standards, and the consolidation of Huatulco as a sustainable tourist destination.
