The opening of the NMX-AA-120-SCFI-2016 Sustainable Clean Beach and Platinum Beach Audit 2026 was held, formally launching the evaluation process at Chahué, El Órgano, La Entrega, and El Violín beaches.
During this first stage, the objectives, scope, and criteria to be reviewed throughout the audit were presented. These include cleanliness, water quality, safety, services, infrastructure, environmental education, ecosystem conservation, and sustainable beach management. The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, led by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to strengthen environmental management and the conservation of the municipality’s coastal areas.
