The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, headed by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the Health Directorate and in coordination with the Vector Control area of Health Jurisdiction 04 Costa, carried out prevention actions focused on combating malaria.
During this day, river cleaning was carried out in areas where the Anopheles mosquito, the transmitter of this disease, is found and reproduces, with the participation of the neighborhoods Paso Ancho, El Manantial, Chacalmata, and La Mina. Likewise, a demonstration of the thick blood smear technique was performed on a minor and the whitewashing of homes, reinforcing prevention and health care measures among the population.
