New Artisanal Road Begins in the Upper Part of Santa María Huatulco

Work begins on 1.5 kilometers of artisanal road to improve connectivity for five communities in Huatulco’s upper part.

The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco held the symbolic groundbreaking for 1.5 kilometers of an artisanal road in the upper part of the municipality. The project will benefit the communities of Hacienda Vieja, Todos Santos, Las Pozas, San Francisco Limoncito, and Pueblo Viejo by improving connectivity and making travel easier for families in the area.
During the event, Municipal President Eng. Julio Cárdenas, accompanied by Architect Víctor Hugo Robles Uriostegui of SICT Oaxaca, toured the work site. The project is part of the federal Artisanal Roads program.
The Municipal Government recognizes the support of the Government of Mexico in promoting this type of infrastructure in local communities and will continue to monitor the work until its completion.
