Municipal Government Strengthens Equipment and Operational Capacity of Public Security Forces

Huatulco delivers 160 uniforms and a new patrol vehicle to strengthen its security forces’ equipment and response capacity.

To strengthen security efforts and improve working conditions for police personnel, the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco delivered 160 complete uniforms and a new 2026 RAM pickup truck for the Municipal Police, Traffic and Road Safety Police, and the Crime Prevention Department. The “Safe Woman Patrol” program is also being promoted to strengthen assistance and response capacity in situations that put women in the municipality at risk.
During the delivery, the work of the 160 members of the forces—133 men and 27 women—was recognized, along with the recent certification of 25 officers, bringing the total number of certified police officers to 69. Through these actions, the Municipal Government, led by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, reaffirms its commitment to continuing to strengthen the equipment, training, and professional development of the security forces, in order to provide better service and contribute to the peace of mind of Huatulco families.
