The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, led by Ing. Julio Cárdenas, through the Health Department and the Municipal Care Center for Companion Animals, implemented the Sterilization Program that provided care to more than 30 canines and felines.
Sterilization brings multiple benefits, such as reducing the risk of endocrine diseases, preventing reproductive problems in females and males, and controlling behavioral problems. It also prevents overpopulation, which subsequently results in the abandonment and mistreatment of pets.
