Cleanup Day at El Órgano Beach
The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, through ZOFEMAT, conducted a cleanup day at El Órgano Beach to protect coastal ecosystems.
The main objective of these actions is to conserve and protect our coastal ecosystems. The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, through ZOFEMAT, carried out a cleanup day at El Órgano Beach, focused on removing solid waste from the sand strip, tidal zone, and adjacent areas, preventing its impact on marine biodiversity and strengthening the image of this important destination as a clean and sustainable space.
During the activity, 4 kg of waste were collected (3 kg inorganic and 1 kg organic), and critical points were identified to improve cleaning and waste management strategies.
