As part of ongoing efforts for the care of our beaches, the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, through the ZOFEMAT Directorate, participated in a cleanup day at Maguey Beach, working in coordination with snorkel service providers to clean the seabed and the beach area. During the event, 14 kg of inorganic waste were collected from the seabed and 4 kg of waste from the beach, strengthening the conservation of marine-coastal ecosystems and maintaining this important destination in better conditions for residents and visitors. The Municipal Government, headed by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, recognizes and appreciates the participation and effort of the snorkelers who monthly clean the seabed, contributing to the care of our natural heritage.
