The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the Directorate of Civil Protection and Firefighters Huatulco, installed the Municipal Civil Protection Council, with the objective of monitoring the tropical phenomenon INVEST 90E and the developing low-pressure area off the coast of Oaxaca.
In accordance with the exhortation from the State Coordination of Civil Protection and Risk Management (CEPCyGR), the Council declares itself in permanent session for the attention and prevention of possible rain-related impacts.
The population is asked to stay informed through official channels, follow Civil Protection recommendations, and take extreme precautions against possible river overflows, landslides, or flooding.
If necessary, the suspension of classes will be evaluated, prioritizing the safety of children and adolescents.
