Desilting Works Begin in Tourist Destination

Desilting works have begun in Huatulco's drainage network using Vactor equipment to ensure efficient sanitation, prevent contamination, and protect natural resources.

With the aim of maintaining an efficient and sustainable sanitation infrastructure, the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, headed by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, has commenced desilting works on the drainage network in the tourist destination, utilizing specialized Vactor equipment.

This technology allows for deep cleaning of pipes by removing sludge, grease, and obstructions, thereby improving the functionality of the sanitary drainage system. The intervention seeks to prevent leaks into the sea, avoid environmental contamination, and protect the natural resources that characterize Huatulco.

Acting at the most critical points of the system, this action directly benefits the community and the tourism sector, ensuring a clean, safe, and suitable environment for everyone.

Responsible actions that ensure a balance between development and the environment will continue to be promoted.
