In observance of World Environment Day, the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Ing. Julio Cárdenas, presented the Strategic Plan for the Comprehensive Management of Urban Solid Waste, as part of the Environmental Education campaign implemented in the municipality.
This strategy aims to promote a culture of waste separation, collection, and recycling, in order to reduce environmental impact, increase recycling, and decrease waste burial.
As part of this effort, the campaign “At Home I Recycle, Reduce, and Reuse: Separation into Three” was also launched, which seeks to raise environmental awareness from Huatulco homes.
With goodwill and joint work between the three levels of government and citizens, Huatulco is moving firmly towards a cleaner, greener, and more conscious municipality.
