The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Ing. Julio Cárdenas, through the Directorate of Sustainability and in collaboration with the Universidad del Mar, held the First Meeting on Climate Change in the Sierra Sur and Coast of Oaxaca, within the framework of Earth Day.
During the days of April 22 and 23, more than 150 participants joined this day of dialogue and analysis that brought together academic and community knowledge, with the aim of generating proposals to face the challenges of climate change in the region. More than 20 papers were presented and an enriching bird watching activity was carried out in Tangolunda, with the participation of citizens and specialized environmental tourism guides.
