The Municipal Palace of Santa María Huatulco was illuminated in pink, marking the beginning of a month of activities focused on breast cancer awareness and prevention. This initiative by the Huatulco DIF System, led by Ms. Jazmin Villar, has the support of the Municipal Government headed by Engineer Julio Cárdenas, joining efforts to promote self-care, information and timely detection.
The lighting ceremony was attended by Judith de la Rosa, Marcelina Gabriel, Filomena Lucrecio, Yasmin Cortés and Silvia Méndez, women whose stories of strength give special meaning to Pink October. Throughout the month, the Huatulco DIF System will carry out activities focused on awareness, medical care, guidance, sports and community participation, bringing prevention closer to more women and families.
Pink October is more than a symbol: it represents prevention, information and support.
