Huatulco Hosted the Shark Route 2026
The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco hosted the “Shark Route” in Santa Cruz Bay, an open water challenge boosting sports tourism.
The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the Tourism Council, in coordination with various municipal areas, provided support for the event, which held the “Shark Route” today in Santa Cruz Bay, as part of the open water challenge in our destination.
This important gathering brought together swimmers in an unparalleled natural setting, strengthening sports tourism in the municipality. The event was organized by the “Tiburones Huatulco” school, led by Professor Carlos Aquino, who are recognized for their work in promoting discipline and the development of local swimming talents.
