Huatulco Strengthens its International Projection at ANATO 2026

Huatulco participates in ANATO 2026, strengthening its international promotion. Meetings were held with airlines and CONEXTUR to boost connectivity and tourist routes.

The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the Directorate of Tourism, is actively participating in ANATO 2026, one of the most important tourism gatherings in Latin America, strengthening the international promotion of the destination.
During the inauguration of the Mexico pavilion, municipal representatives were present at the ribbon-cutting ceremony, accompanying the Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, consolidating coordinated work at the federal level. Likewise, meetings were held with Viva Aerobus executives, including Walfred Castro Novelo, Corporate Communications Director, reinforcing strategic alliances to strengthen air connectivity.
As part of the work agenda, meetings were also held with Spirit Airlines MEC, represented by Laura Soto Ramírez, with the aim of promoting the destination through a possible direct flight connection to Huatulco. Similarly, an approach was established with CONEXTUR, through Noemí Zárate Cova, to manage a fam trip for travel agents, allowing Huatulco to be included in their tourist routes within Mexico.
The Secretary of Tourism of Santiago de Cali, María Fernanda Campuzano, also visited, and with her, the natural, cultural, and gastronomic richness of Huatulco and the region was shared, strengthening tourism promotion ties.
Similarly, through coffee and mezcal activations and gastronomic samples, Huatulco was promoted, highlighting the richness of its flavors, traditions, and emblematic products, projecting the destination as a culinary and cultural reference internationally.
