With the aim of strengthening humpback whale conservation and promoting responsible tourism, the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco participated in the First Regional Meeting for Humpback Whale Conservation on the Coast of Oaxaca, where strategies and experiences for the protection of this species and its habitat were shared.
This meeting brought together authorities, academic institutions, environmental organizations, and tourism service providers to strengthen collaborative work in favor of marine biodiversity. The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, reaffirms its commitment to the conservation of natural heritage and the development of sustainable tourism.
