The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, led by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, carried out an environmental education day at Chahué Beach, through ZOFEMAT and with the participation of students from the Universidad del Mar. During the activity, cleaning, collection, and separation of waste were carried out, promoting awareness about water care and the natural environment.
Likewise, a demonstration of water quality sampling was conducted, highlighting its importance for public health and environmental conservation, as well as the necessary criteria for beach certification. During the day, 14 kilograms of waste were collected, preventing them from reaching the sea.
