As part of the continuous training for collaborators of the Municipal Government Administration led by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, the Health Department conducted training on the use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED), taught by EMT Rosendo Vega Ríos.
This training strengthens staff preparedness to provide an immediate and timely response to a cardiovascular emergency, through the correct use of the new cardioprotected space located in the Municipal Palace, which features an AED to support cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers for individuals experiencing cardiorespiratory arrest or a cardiac event, such as acute myocardial infarction.
With these actions, we reaffirm our commitment to having better-equipped, accessible, and prepared public spaces to safeguard citizens' health, strengthening timely care in emergency situations.
We express our sincere gratitude to the Oaxaca Health Services for their support and efforts in making this important action possible, especially to M.C. Efrén Emmanuel Jarquín González, Secretary of Health and General Director of Oaxaca Health Services, as well as to Dr. Eder López Toro, head of the Directorate of Prevention and Health Promotion of Oaxaca Health Services (SSO), for their commitment to strengthening pre-hospital care and protecting the health of our population.
We continue working for a safer, more prepared, and life-committed Huatulco!
