Municipal Government of Huatulco Installs Waste Containers on Tourist Beaches as Part of the Environmental Management Program

As part of the Urban Solid Waste Management program, led by the ZOFEMAT Directorate of the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, in coordination with the Clean Beaches Committee and the German cooperation agency GIZ, the installation of garbage containers was carried out on the beaches “Tejón”, “Arrocito” and “La Entrega”, which will allow tourists who visit these tourist centers to deposit their garbage in a corresponding place.

To give continuity to this project, this year the ZOFEMAT Directorate will implement a new solid waste management program on beaches, with the aim of increasing recycling practices and reducing waste production. With these actions, we are building a cleaner, more sustainable Huatulco, committed to the environment.
