In response to the invitation from the Undersecretary of Tourism Development of the State of Chiapas, Dr. Andres Sanchez Leon, the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the Directorate of Tourism, carried out an institutional visit with the aim of continuing commercial exchange and joint tourism promotion actions, within the framework of the twinning between Chiapas and the municipality of Huatulco.
During this important work tour, the municipalities of San Juan Chamula, Zinacantán, San Cristóbal de las Casas, and Tuxtla Gutiérrez were visited, where there was an opportunity to closely observe the cultural richness of the state of Chiapas, through its customs and traditions, traditional attire, gastronomy, handicrafts, and cultural manifestations.
The Municipal Government extends special thanks to Dr. Andrés Sánchez León for his tireless work in promoting Chiapas and for charting this strategic route that allowed for the consolidation of key meetings for tourism strengthening between both regions.
