The Municipal Government of Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the Directorate of Tourism, in coordination with the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas, CONANP-Huatulco National Park, the Universidad del Mar Huatulco campus, and specialists in environment, biodiversity, and sustainable tourism, shared their knowledge and experiences regarding the role of Natural Protected Areas and their impact on the region's tourism development.
During the day, key topics were addressed, such as:
- The contribution of NPAs to tourism development
- Biodiversity conservation
- Protection of sea turtles
- Voluntarily designated conservation areas
- Children's environmental perspective
- Nature tourism and social benefits
This activity strengthens the academic and social commitment to the destination's sustainability.
