Civil Protection and Fire Department personnel responded to a report of a fire caused by an uncontrolled garbage burn, which put nearby homes at risk. With the support of a water tanker and a rescue unit, crews immediately worked to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading.
The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, led by Engineer Julio Cárdenas, urges residents to avoid burning garbage and not to conduct burns without the necessary preventive measures, as they can quickly turn into a fire and endanger families and their property.
