The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco held the press conference for the presentation of FESTUR 2026, commencing the work for the fifth edition of the Huatulco Tourism Festival, which this year will be developed under the motto: “Without nature, there is no tourism!”
During the event, the vision for this new edition was unveiled, seeking to strengthen the participation of the tourism, business, environmental, and social sectors to build a festival that promotes sustainable development and the conservation of our municipality's natural heritage.
The presentation was attended by Biologist Edmundo Aguilar López, Director of Huatulco National Park (CONANP); Lic. Nadia Bolaños Flores, Regional Delegate for Coastal Tourism of SECTUR; Lic. Giselda Venegas, Director of Tourism for the H. City Council of Santa María Huatulco; Mtro. Pavel Otilio Copka Flores, President of the Huatulco Hotels Association; Lic. Eliezer Gris Vargas, Director of Paraíso Huatulco; and Lic. Omar Higareda, President of the Huatulco Romance Association.
With actions like this, the Municipal Government reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting initiatives that strengthen tourism, citizen participation, and the protection of natural resources, consolidating Huatulco as a sustainable and quality destination.
