Huatulco was once again the setting for the 2026 Triathlon World Cup, an event that brought together elite athletes from 28 countries and reaffirms our destination's position as a national and international benchmark for sports tourism.
The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, expresses its recognition and gratitude to the municipal and state security corporations, civil protection, health, emergency services, and institutions from the three levels of government that made the successful development of this competition possible. Likewise, it acknowledges the participation and support of the Honorable Municipal Council, whose commitment and coordinated work contributed to the strengthening of this important event.
Special thanks are extended to the Government of the State of Oaxaca, led by Eng. Salomón Jara Cruz, as well as the Ministry of Government, headed by Lic. Jesús Romero, for their support, coordination, and accompaniment in the realization of this grand event that projects Huatulco to Mexico and the world.
