Safe Crossings and School Zones Actions Continue in Sector H

The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco continues its pilot test of safe crossings and school zones in Sector H to strengthen safe mobility.

The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, led by Eng. Julio César Cárdenas Ortega, through the 'Calles que nos Unen' program, continues with the pilot test of safe crossings and school zones in Sector H, as part of actions to strengthen safe mobility and traffic management in areas with high pedestrian traffic.

In this stage, work is specifically being carried out on Gardenia Street, in front of the Lic. Adolfo López Mateos Primary School and the Federico Froebel Kindergarten, where horizontal signage, space delimitation, and temporary road adjustments are being implemented, with the aim of improving the safety of children, mothers, fathers, and educational staff.

These actions seek to prioritize the most vulnerable road users, strengthen road safety culture, and create safer school environments, in compliance with the General Law on Mobility and Road Safety and NOM-004-SEDATU-2023, moving towards a more orderly, accessible, and humane city.
