The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, headed by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the Directorate of the Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone (ZOFEMAT), conducted the monthly beach profile in Santa Cruz, Pescadores, Chahué, Órgano, La Entrega, and Violín.
This procedure is an essential requirement to maintain the Blue Flag, MNX-AA-120-SCFI-2016, and Platinum Beach certifications.
The beach profile allows for understanding the shape, sediments, and dynamics of waves and currents, elements that continuously change due to natural and human factors.
With this permanent record, erosion and accretion processes are evaluated, which is essential for understanding coastal dynamics, ensuring sustainable management, and guaranteeing the safe and responsible use of our certified beaches.
