With the aim of fostering environmental awareness and promoting the care of coastal ecosystems, the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, carried out an environmental education activity at Chahué Beach, in coordination with ZOFEMAT, with the participation of 5th-grade students from Centro Escolar Huatulco.
During the day, informative talks were held on the importance of Mother Earth, the value of beaches as ecosystems, and the problem of solid waste, as well as a cleaning day in which 27 kg of waste were collected (20 kg organic and 7 kg inorganic), strengthening environmental awareness, teamwork, and commitment to caring for our environment.
