Within the framework of World Sea Turtle Day, the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco participated in TORTUFEST 2026, an environmental education day held in coordination with the Subcouncil of Culture for Conservation of CONANP, Municipal ZOFEMAT, Municipal Sustainability, Tortuguero Huatulco Ecological Protection, Costa Salvaje, Rancho Colibritzin Huatulco, and other allies committed to the conservation of natural resources.
During the event, students, teachers, and parents from José Vasconcelos Primary School participated in thematic tables, recreational activities, an environmental lottery, and a sand sculpture contest, strengthening awareness about the importance of protecting sea turtles and conserving our ecosystems.
The Municipal Government acknowledges the collaboration of the institutions, organizations, and sponsors who made this activity possible, reaffirming its commitment to environmental education and the conservation of Huatulco's natural heritage.
