The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas Ortega and accompanied by his wife, the Honorary President of the Municipal DIF System, Lic. Jazmín Villar, in coordination with the departments of Religious Affairs, Rural Development, Culture, Human Resources, and the Institute of Youth, reaffirms its commitment to traditions and faith, promoting activities that strengthen the cultural and spiritual identity of the community.
The day began with a solemn mass in the local church. Upon completion, a visit to the catamaran was made, followed by a community meal that fostered conviviality among attendees and riders.
Subsequently, the riders participated in a gathering that preceded the ride, led by the municipal president, touring the main streets of Bahías, the center of La Crucecita, and Santa Cruz Huatulco.
This tour also included the presence of the president of San Pablo Coatlán and the commissioner of communal property. The security of the event was guaranteed thanks to the effective coordination of road and municipal security corporations, as well as Civil Protection and Firefighters, ensuring an environment of peace and tranquility for all attendees. After a second meal and the traditional dance with Sabor Istmeño, the fandango took place; and to culminate the evening, the group Los Váskez closed the night, after illuminating the sky with the burning of the castle and little bulls.
These activities reflect the commitment of the municipal government of Huatulco to preserve and promote the traditions that enrich the culture and strengthen community ties, always guaranteeing the safety and well-being of its inhabitants and visitors.
